‘Alice in Wonderland Jr.’ opens Saturday

The Court House Players production of the youth musical “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Jr.” will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at LightHouse on Route 17, Gloucester.
A cast of 57 bring the story to life as Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, travels down the rabbit hole on a madcap adventure.
Featuring updated songs from Disney’s animated motion picture, the show is a fast-paced take on the classic tale by Lewis Carroll. The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game.
