A funeral for Alice Davenport Davis Watkins, 94, of Gloucester, will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 25 in Morning Glory Baptist Church, Woods Cross Roads. She died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hurley Davis Sr. and Raymond Watkins.

Survivors include a son, Hurley Davis Jr.; daughters, Sabreen Shakir and Amelia Hodges; sister, Thea Arnetta Polson; brother, Robert Davenport; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She had worked in domestic work in Philadelphia, Pa., food services in Colonial Williamsburg, and was a florist for more than 20 years at Watkins Florist in Gloucester.

Viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral in the church cemetery.
