The Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program begins next week. The sign-up period is July 29-Aug. 29.
The goal of the VACS program is to improve water quality in Virginia’s streams, rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay to meet Virginia’s non-point source pollution reduction objectives. Tidewater SWCD can help to fund conservation practices like nutrient management, cover-crop planting, erosion stabilization, exclusion fencing, watering systems, and much more.
Appointments are required to sign up; no walk-ins accepted. For more information or to schedule your appointment, call 804-699-3482 or stop by the SWCD office in Gloucester.
