Agnes M. Dunston, age 95, of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Gloucester, Va., passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Brakebill Nursing Home.

She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Agnes was a generous person who lived to care for others. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Dunston, formerly of Gloucester; son, Robert Young, formerly of Knoxville; sister, Ethel Nocar and brother, Joseph Read,  both formerly of Baltimore, Md.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Young of Knoxville; grandson, Ron Linkins and wife Shelley Linkins of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; granddaughter, Kimberly McGimsey and husband Jason McGimsey of Springfield, Va.; great-grandchildren, Ronnie, Christian, Samantha, Nolan, Selena, and Spencer, and great-great-granddaughter, Kaollaidhe “Kaylee.”

A private remembrance will be held at a later date.

The family expresses their appreciation to the staffs of Brakebill Nursing Home and Parkwest Medical Center for their compassionate care of Agnes.
