The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will hold its monthly buffet luncheon and presentation on Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Pilot House restaurant on Route 3 in Topping, next to Hummel Field.
The program begins with a meet and greet at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m.
This month’s program will focus on the 100-year history of the Dahlgren Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center.
“It is nearly in our backyards, yet it’s a big mystery to most of us,” a release from the group stated. In the event of snow or ice, the presentation will be rescheduled.
January’s meeting focused on personal aviation “Treasures and Tales.” In March, Jeff Hayman will share his recent search for a helicopter lost in Vietnam.
