A series of three Advent services will be hosted at Westville Christian Church, Mathews, at noon on consecutive Thursdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19. A release said this series was requested by people who attended Holy Week services at the church in March.
Pastor Kristie Askew of Emmanuel, Grace-Providence and St. Matthew United Methodist churches will speak on Dec. 5. Pastor David McKnight of Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene will speak on Dec. 12. The speaker for the Dec. 19 service has yet to be announced.
There will be special music at each of the half-hour services. The services are ecumenical, free and open to the public, a release said.
