Gwynn’s Island native Lynne Davenport, holding plaque at center, was recently recognized by the Gwynn’s Island Civic League for her long-standing and ongoing commitment to the Gwynn’s Island community and to Mathews County in general. During the past year, through her restaurant, Richardson’s Café, Davenport assisted the civic league by providing its pre-Thanksgiving BBQ dinner and helped the GICL Foundation by hosting a Dine 2 Donate that raised over $2,000 for student and classroom supplies in Mathews County Public Schools. “Thank you, Lynne, for going above and beyond in your willingness to help all of Mathews,” said a press release.
