The Abingdon Episcopal Church Robert Pollock Memorial Scholarship Committee has announced that it will award a $3,000 scholarship this year, an increase of $1,000 from last year.
The scholarship will be awarded as a $750 grant each year for up to four years. Applications are welcome from area students who anticipate graduation in 2024, including those who attend private high schools and homeschooled students.
Also, previous high school graduates planning to further their education are invited to apply. The scholarship is available to students who do or plan to attend a trade school, community college, or a four-year college or university. Preference is given to students who have contributed to their communities through faith-based or service activities and who have maintained a “B” average or higher.
