Abingdon Episcopal Church recently awarded scholarships to three recent Gloucester High School graduates and one West Point High School graduate.
Alexis Sharretts of GHS was awarded a $2,000 scholarship through the Bob Pollock Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is renewable at $500 per year over the next four years of her undergraduate career. Sharretts was selected for the life challenges she has faced, her academic success and her leadership in NJROTC, the Future Farmers of America and the varsity tennis team. The scholarship committee was also impressed that she was a member of the National Honor Society and worked a part-time job.
Beau Adams and Grace Sigley of GHS as well as Madeline Peebles of WPHS received a “Gift of Love” in the amount of $400 each through the Bob Pollock Memorial Scholarship Committee.
