On Wednesday last, August 18, 1909, at 9 a.m., at Westville Baptist Church, Mathews, Va., Miss Josephine Thomas Fox, daughter of Mrs. Mary E. Fox and the late Mr. W.C. Fox, became the bride of Mr. Samuel Judson Rodgers, of Newport News. The church was tastefully decorated in evergreens and potted plants, and to the strains of Mendelsohn’s wedding march rendered by Mrs. A.M. Marchant, the bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Willie Fox, of Newport News, who gave her away.
The bridal party consisted of Miss Mary L. Fox, who was maid of honor, and Mr. Williams, of New Kent, the best man.
