A Sunday School picnic is enjoyed

The Sunday School Scholars of the Old Baptist Church went on a Sunday School picnic Thursday last. Dinner was carried and cloths were spread on the ground. All did full justice to the dinner and enjoyed it very much. The party, after walking around and looking at the place, all went into the Tomato Factory and saw all that was to be seen therein, then lashing the two boats together which they were in all returned home rejoicing.

A horse belonging to T.C. Walker, and driven by a small boy, ran away near Edge Hill in Gloucester on Monday morning. The vehicle was partly demolished, and while the boy escaped unhurt, a girl who was a passenger in the machine narrowly escaped serious injury when she was rendered unconscious by being thrown out.
