Diggs: Mrs. Dollie Owens gave a quilting party at her home last Thursday; everyone present seemed to enjoy the day very much. After the busy fingers had put the last stitch in the lovely quilt we were called to the dining room where a good supper awaited us. The merry party was then entertained for an hour with music and singing by Mrs. Janie Diggs; they returned to their homes thanking Mrs. Owens for such an enjoyable day.

Next Sunday, March 30, the country will begin its second year’s experience of daylight saving through the expedient of turning clocks one hour ahead throughout the spring and summer months.
