The children of Bill and Sandra Brewer of Glass recently sponsored a bench in their parents’ names at Machicomoco State Park, Hayes. It is the first bench of its kind sponsored at the park. The plaque on the bench reads “The Bill & Sandra Brewer Bench: A peaceful stop on a fine day.” The couple’s children are Kelli, Mike, Peter and Kori. Mike Brewer is the founder and owner of the Gloucester Brewing Company. The couple is shown sitting on the bench looking out at the amazing water view.
