If you happen to be walking down the street or riding by in your car and see a green bus or dark blue van with “Helping the Homeless” written on the side, take a moment to say thank you.
HELPING THE HOMELESS PHOTOThe appearance of this green bus means that nourishing, delicious meals will soon be served to people in need.
Twice a week for the past three years, Helping the Homeless Ministry provides free meals to people in need. Pastor Wendy Roundy and her husband, Doug Roundy Sr. of Gloucester, have been, “driving out hunger to our local communities and surrounding counties. We go as far as King and Queen, Richmond, Tappahannock, Middlesex, King William and of course Gloucester and Mathews. We offer a free hot meal, dessert and beverage, breakfast bag and other nonperishables to everyone who comes, with no questions asked or forms to complete.”
