Members of the Abingdon Ruritan Club Public Service Committee, led by chair Raven Cash, met at the Achilles Elementary School on May 12. The members of the third grade class were presented with their very own Scholastic book. Members Don Sciria, Cash, Jhie Hale, Dianne Woolley and Julianna Woolley, from left, helped each student personalize their book and then the students were asked to look up different questions in the book. It is hoped the program will spur in the students a lifelong love of reading.
