In Cricket Hill last Sunday evening two young ladies on their way to church stopped at the usual place to wait for some friend. They were very much interested in their quiet conversations, until suddenly from the stillness around them, there arose a very blood curdling noise, which frightened them very much indeed. Nevertheless, they went on to church, but at the same place on returning, they were arrested by the noise again. Of course, as was natural, they supposed it to be a ghost in terrible agony, but did not stop to offer any relief. So, the next day their parents went to look for the mysterious ghost, and found it to be a bullfrog in an old well. The young ladies say they will never believe another ghost story,

Raymond Bassett of Bohannon, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Bassett, accidentally fell from a fence on Saturday last and broke his arm.
