Arts on Main opens its annual month-long show, “A Celebration of Artful Giving,” at its First Friday event from 6-8 p.m. this Friday. It is free and open to the public. Artists have brought into the Gloucester Main Street gallery their latest works in a broad range of media, including paintings, jewelry, pottery, sculpture and more, said a press release. The theme is centered around holiday giving for those looking for items that are unique and handcrafted, created by artists with talent and expertise. Live music will be provided by Dave Crumpler and Mike Glass of the Virginia Shellphish Coalition. They perform acoustic arrangements of time-tested favorites in a variety of genres that includes classic rock, alt and modern rock, Americana, bluegrass and Irish pub songs.
