9/11 remembrance

Ware Academy students and faculty met in the gymnasium Monday for morning assembly in observance of the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Ware teacher Nicole Ames read the book, “The Man in the Red Bandanna,” and spoke about the historic day. Sixth grade students held signs with the phrase, “Never Forget.” The entire school surrounded the flag poles for the raising of the flags, the National Anthem and a moment of silence. Students placed flags around the Ware Academy sign to commemorate the lives lost and honor the heroes of that day.
