The Botetourt High School Class of 1947 held its 77th reunion on June 21. Of the original graduating class of 29 students, only three are still with us today. The three class members—Harvey Morgan, Marvin Brown and Ruth Anderton—were joined by their spouses, along with Nan Pointer, widow of class member Joe Pointer (who passed away in October), for a luncheon at Olivia’s in the Village, Gloucester. Those taking part in the luncheon were, from left, Mary Helen Morgan, Harvey Morgan, Nan Pointer, Ruth Anderton, Marvin Brown and Jean Brown. About 20 years ago, the class began holding reunion gatherings twice a year, Mr. Morgan said.
