A warm, overcast day was waiting for the 500 visitors of the 2024 Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews Historic Garden Week tour Saturday. Nearly 400 braved the rain for the Gardens at Goshen tour Sunday.
According to tour chair Margaret Singleton, both tour days went smoothly. Having more shuttles in service this year helped alleviate wait times to and from the tour properties, including the Mazzocco Home, Paget, and River Promise.
“The Garden Club of Gloucester and Mathews is so grateful to our homeowners who are so generous to share their beautiful homes and gardens with our visitors,” said Singleton. “Our homeowners work incredibly hard for a full year, and sometimes longer, getting ready to open for Historic Garden Week.
