Crystal Coleman, Joan Dandridge, Monica Forrest, Elizabeth Hayes and Dr. Ebony Lynch were inducted into the Mathews Chapter Continental Societies, Inc., at a ceremony on Dec. 14, 2024 at Emmaus Baptist Church, North.
Continental Societies, Inc., is a nonprofit organization with over 50 chapters in the United States, District of Columbia and on the island of Bermuda. Its mission is to create environments within communities that empower children to have access to quality and appropriate opportunities to reach their optimal potential.
The incoming members completed a service project that focused on the foster care system in Mathews. Their project was to provide children in foster care in Mathews with hygiene kits to alleviate the need to buy items first entering care or changing homes. The challenge was to create enough kits to last six months.
