The Gloucester County School Board announced the names of the five candidates who applied to fill its vacant at-large seat on an interim basis during the board’s regular monthly meeting, held Tuesday night in the T.C. Walker Education Center auditorium.
The applicants include Cathy Balderson of Gloucester, Fred Brewer of Hayes, Nicole McPherson of Gloucester Point, Carolyn Molly of Gloucester and Matthew Nash of North. McPherson was previously selected as the board’s interim appointment for the same seat from September through December 2023.
Their letters of interests and resumes will be made available on the Gloucester County Public Schools’ website. The board is scheduled to select its interim member during Tuesday’s joint meeting with supervisors.
During public comment, some residents asked the board to hold a public meeting specifically to learn more about the candidates and ask them questions.
