More than 400 people took part in the Gloucester County Public Schools Educational Foundation 12th annual 3K, 8K and Virtual 5K Run/Walk which was held on Saturday, March 25 at Gloucester High School.
A total of 468 people signed up to participate. Of those, 391 crossed the finish line on race day, while another 18 participated virtually. Additionally, about 50 volunteers from the GCPS Educational Foundation Board, the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Gloucester High School Beta Club, National Honor Society, the Gloucester NAACP, and one parent provided support for registration, race course monitoring, and water stops.
Financial support came from 29 businesses, organizations and individuals (including the name sponsor, Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Wealth Management), as well as race participants and many other contributors.
