Four Gloucester residents received citations from the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament for their catches of sheepshead, as reported in the Oct. 9 issue of vasaltwaterfishing.com.
Robert F. Flippin of Gloucester, caught a 10-pound, 10-ounce fish on Sept. 30 at York Spit Reef;
Miles Wong of Hayes, caught and released a 16-inch fish on Sept. 29 in the lower York River;
James Riley III of Gloucester, received his citation for an 11-pound, 15-ounce fish caught Sept. 29 in Chesapeake Bay; and, Matthew Pierro of Gloucester, caught a citation 10-pound, 2-ounce sheepshead on Sept. 22 in the lower York River. Pierro also qualified for a citation on Sept. 10 with the catch of a 55-pound, 11-ounce cobia fishing inshore off Virginia Beach.

Aaron Flippin of Hayes, for a 6-pound, 4-ounce flounder caught Sept. 11 off Cape Charles;
Michael Hurst of Ware Neck, for a 54-inch red drum caught and released Sept. 11 in Chesapeake Bay; and,
