340+ visitors attend Ware Church ArtWalk on Saturday

Ware Episcopal Church welcomed more than 340 visitors to its sixth ArtWalk Saturday. Elementary students whose teachers submitted their artwork for the event received certificates.
Following a path around the church grounds, attendees viewed 90 pieces of art, had an opportunity to take a family portrait in a field of daffodils and participated in many art activities.
Three Scout troops from Gloucester (Troops 111, 175 and 1651) entertained children with their own projects and a game of “GaGa ball.”
Virginia Native Plant Society, Colonial Beekeepers of Yorktown, Virginia Master Naturalists, Giandonato Farmette with Healthy Eating, Arts on Main, Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society and pet portrait artist Sue McConville provided creative and educational exhibits to the ArtWalk.
Children and adults planted seed from native plants and started snap peas from seed to take home. Ware members sold baked goods with proceeds going to GMHS.
