Middlesex County Republicans will host three candidates seeking the Republican Party’s endorsement for U.S. Senate—Hung Cao, Jonathan Emord and Eddie Garcia—at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at the Middlesex Shooting Sports Club, Hartfield. U.S. Sen. A 1975 refugee from Vietnam, Cao is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, retiring from the Navy with the rank of captain. Author and constitutional litigator, Emord was an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan Administration. A financial advisor, former congressional aide and retired U.S. Army officer, Garcia had six combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
