Twenty-one teams helped celebrate the Hartfield club’s 28th year by taking part in the Piankatank River Golf Club Anniversary Celebration Tournament on July 14. Two-person teams competed in 18 holes of Captain’s Choice.Winners were:
First flight—Peyton Lambert and Pierce Lambert (first place, 59); Derek Poole and Kyle Rowe (second place, 59); Chris Hurst and Mike Brown (third place, 60).
Second flight—Jeremy Collier and Mark Baker (first place, 67); Matthew Harris and Bryce Self (second place, 68); Heath Bray and Jerry Duke (third place, 69).
Third flight—Drew Hooper and Daniel Anderson (first place, 74); Victoria Hitch and Jack Sherry (second place, 79); Curtis Hilliard and Mitch Hilliard (third place, 80).
Closest to the Pin—Heath Bray (hole #17) and Victoria Hitch (hole #14).
A highlight of the day was a hole-in-one made by Will George, who made his 125-yard shot on hole #5 using an 8 iron. The shot was witnessed by Drew Hooper, Daniel Anderson and Martin Brent.
