Brent & Becky’s Bulbs held a 20th anniversary open house Saturday to celebrate the establishment of the longtime daffodil seller’s retail shop in 2003. The bright, welcoming shop was still abuzz with activity Saturday afternoon as Teresa Montgomery and her daughter Audrey Hines, from left, both Hayes residents who said they’ve been shopping at Brent & Becky’s since it opened, purchased tulips, narcissus and a bottle of River Organics Hemp Sangria Wine from cashier Jill Valora. Denise Hutchins, the business’s facilitator of funds, said the day had been busy and encouraged residents to sign up for upcoming activities such as a meeting of the Gloucester Daffodil Club today and a pruning workshop on Saturday.
