2 Gloucester children win PBS KIDS Writers Contest

Two Gloucester students were among the 2024 winners of the PBS KIDS Writers Contest. Winners were announced in the summer issue of Dimensions, a publication of WHRO.
Homeschooler Hazel Arterbury won second place in the kindergarten category for her entry, “Lily and I.” Charles (Chase) Harris, a student at Ware Academy, was the overall environmental winner for grades K-1 for his work, “Spy Cub Saves the Savanna.”
Since 1995, WHRO has invited students to pull out their pens and colored pencils and get creative in its Writers Contest, according to the announcement in Dimensions.
