The first phase of the Gloucester High School renovation project is reaching its final stages and will be ready for school use by Jan. 3.
“We’re excited to get that first phase opened up,” said Charles Records, construction/project coordinator for Gloucester County Public Schools.
‘A’ Hall classrooms will be able to move back into the building by the end of the month, while ‘D’ Hall classrooms will be displaced to the outdoor modular classrooms over winter break.
The first sets of inclusive restrooms will be available for use with the opening of ‘A’ Hall. These restrooms include seven to 14 individual toilet rooms per restroom area. The restroom area features an open concept with vanities lining the wall that will be completely visible to staff. This design allows students to have absolute privacy while using the restroom and to cut down on vandalism, drug use and other illicit behavior.
