The Mathews High School Hall of Fame Class of 2023 has been set, assistant Athletic Director Al DeWitt announced last week.
Two coaches, three contributors and nine athletes will join the 58 other members of the MHS Hall of Fame when the program is held on Friday, May 12.
The MHS Hall of Fame inducted its inaugural class of 33 in 2019. Following that, the program was put on hold for a couple years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 25 members of the Class of 2020 finally got recognized last April.
Members of the incoming Class of 2023 include:
Coaches—LaDonna Crain (girls’ tennis) and Tim Ulsaker (crew).
Contributors—Jimmy Robins (1969, football, baseball and softball), Gary Wade Sadler (1971, football, baseball and softball) and Freddie Dehoux (1975, baseball).
