11U Kraken wins Turkey Trot tournament

The Baystars Kraken 11U team took home the gold this weekend, winning the USSSA Turkey Trot Championship. Team members include, back row from left, coaches Mike Rousseau, Brandon Lee, Adam Shager and Mike Morelli; middle row, Conner Lee, William Rousseau, Easton Scott, Callum Lenczewski, Knox Briggs, Wesley Falkenberg, Gage Mulcahy, Benjamin Patterson; front row, Kaiden Williams, Duke Hamm, Carter Symonds, Dominik Sales and Kane Shager.

The Baystars 11U Kraken baseball team placed first in the USSSA Turkey Trot State Championship in Mechanicsville over the weekend, going undefeated to receive the trophy and gold rings.
The Kraken played in two games on Saturday, outscoring its opponents by a combined total of 33-1. The team took down the Great Falls Colts, 19-0, and the Mosley Mud Dogs, 14-1.
On day two, the Kraken were the top-seeded team heading into a game against the Chesterfield Reds, winning 7-3. The championship game was against the IYG Spiders. The Kraken sealed their undefeated weekend, 7-5.
