11 GHS student-athletes commit

Eleven Gloucester High School student-athletes committed to their respective colleges to continue on their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level on Wednesday, April 24 in a ceremony at the high school’s auditorium.
There were a total of three track and field athletes, two field hockey athletes, two baseball players, one golf player, one who will be playing both soccer and volleyball, another volleyball player, and one cheerleader.
Rylan Allcorn is a four-year varsity letter athlete for cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. He committed to the University of Lynchburg, where he will be running multiple distance events and majoring in Business Administration. Allcorn has earned All-State honors for four years in a row for Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, as well as All State honors for three years in a row for cross country.
