100+ take part in Kekoka Yoga Retreat

More than 100 yogis gathered this past weekend at YMCA/APYC Camp Kekoka, Kilmarnock, for the 13th annual Kekoka Yoga Retreat. Perfect weather and high spirits prevailed, and the event raised over $20,000 for camper scholarships.
The theme of the retreat was “Alchemy,” or the seemingly magical process of transforming elements into something new. More than 20 yoga teachers from around the area brought their distinctive styles to help participants experience growth, health, healing and connection.
Classes and activities included yoga for all levels, Pilates, sound immersion, meditation and movement workshops, yoga nidra (yogic sleep), stand-up paddleboard yoga, kayaking skills and a zip line, said Susan Johnson, who co-chaired the event with Art Gilbert.
