Mrs. Brewer throughout her life remained conversant not only with local happenings but also with the affairs of the state, the nation and the world.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by three nieces, Nancy Taylor Rowe and her husband Charles B. ("Jimmie") Rowe of Courtland, Va., Margaret T.
